Othello Tunnels

Finals are finished! It was the last day being in Abbotsford so Jason and I decided to go on an adventure to the Othello Tunnels. They are some very old tunnles mining tunnels from the early 1900's. We had heard they were something that we had to see so even though the weather wasn't too great, we made our way to Hope B.C. After about 20 minutes in the car, I looked down at my feet and realized I only had on sandles! So as we were driving through the mountains that still had snow on them, we had to laugh at my moment of ditsiness and continued to make our way to the tunnels. After getting lost in the crazy hills of Hope, we finally found a deserted parking lot. So we did a little walking and exploring until we came upon a locked gate with signs all around saying "DANGER", "FALLING ROCKS", and some more things that made me NOT want to go in. Beside this barrier, there was a small trail that people must have made to go around the gate and that was exactly what Jason planned on doing. I was thinking...in the mind of a scared little wimp...saying "There's no way I'm crossing this! We'll get killed from 'falling rocks' or something scary inside those dark tunnels. Plus, 'they' say we can't go during the winter time. But Jason, being the man on a mission, he decided that no matter what we were going around this gate. We ended up having a blast looking at the beautiful waterfalls and rapids that were surrounding the tunnels. It took me a while to warm up to the creepy, long, dark tunnels. But I still loved it. We had a blast! Enjoy th pictures. I'll put a video up so you can get a taste of what Jason got to experience everytime we went through the scarey tunnels. Ooops! I'm a wimp:)

Last days of Adventure

Time for an update! I'm sorry it's been so long. School is now completely finished for the summer and I'm really looking forward to this break. It's been an amazing second year and CBC and I have seen such growth in several areas of my life. Brit's finally growing up:) Maybe...;) These pictures of from a few weeks ago when finals were coming up. Jason and I were needing a break from the bubble on campus so we spent a few hours relaxing at his house in Surrey. We made some yummy Choc. Chip cookies:)
